EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Dec 16: More than three months have passed since the final
result of the prestigious Kashmir Administrative Services was
declared. But the successful candidates are yet to join.
189 candidates were declared successful on 2nd September 2011, when
J&K Public Service Commission conducted the whole examination process
in a record period of less than one year.
After referring the successful candidates for medical examination in
Medical College Jammu and Medical College Srinagar, the final report
has been submitted to the Public Service Commission in the first week
of the October. According to the officials in the Public Service
Commission the final selection list along with the medical report has
been submitted to the General Administrative Department on 22nd
November 2011. However the General Administrative department is yet to
take any action on the matter.
“It takes less than a month for government to allocate the service and
issue appointment orders after the declaration of results” said a
successful candidate on promised anonymity.
“More than three months yet there is no word from the government,” he lamented.
“Some of us were working in government and non government
organizations and after selection all have left jobs, as we expected
appointments within a month’s period,’ another rued further adding
that this has created problems for many of us.”
Meanwhile a senior official in administration department said a
detailed examination of the papers of the selected candidates had to
be done. Posts will be allotted to them soon.
