| EJAC delegation meets CS, raises various demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 16:A delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) called on
Chief Secretary Madhav Lal.
The delegation under the chairmanship of AQ Wani along with General
Secretary Ganesh Khajuria, Dr Manzoor (President Plus Two Lecturers
Forum) O P Katoch, Satish Dutta, NS Jamwal, Gopal Singh, Amarnath
Thakur and Talib Hussain Mali met Chief Secretary in his office
Chambers to submit a memorandum of demands and to discuss various
issues confronting the employees fraternity.
The employees demanded enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60
years, eradication of Incharge system of plus two lecturers in
education department, release of 6th Pay Commission arrears in favour
of Public Sector employees, removal of pay anomalies in master grade,
release of 7% DA in favour of state government employees besides
implementation of medi-claim policy.
Chief Secretary patiently listened to the demands put forth by EJAC
leaders and assured the delegation that all the issues pertaining
employees fraternity will be redressed very soon and some of the
issues already agreed between the Govt. and the JCC leaders will be
solved as per the agreement.
President EJAC AQ Wani thanked the Chief Secretary for his employee
friendly attitude and patient hearing of their demands.
