Workshop on teaching aids held | | | early times report Jammu, Dec. 16: Adarsh College of Education, Tarore, Samba today organized One day workshop on preparation of models and teaching aids on different subjects where in around hundred students participated. Mr. Rahul Kapoor, Administrator of the college presented the welcome address. Mr. A.K.Kapoor, Chairman Adarsh Educational Trust and Mrs. P.B.Kapoor, M.D. of the Trust inaugurated the workshop. Mr. Kapoor during his address highlighted the importance of such workshops for B.Ed students. He said the teaching pupils have to prepare their lesson plans and teaching aids for their micro as well as macro teaching examinations and have to show the demonstrations in various schools where in they need to be confident and fully prepared for such demonstrations. He added that the teaching community has to be practically sound to make the children capable enough to face the practical world and such time to time workshops may enhance their caliber and capability. Mrs. P.B.Kapoor, M.D. of the Trust congratulated the students for their active participation in learning and performing in such workshops. She stressed upon to indulge creativity amongst them for showing brilliance in their teaching aids. She said that the more the students concentrate on learning by such kinds of activities, the more they will impart to the future generation. The students actively showed their talents in preparing the models and teaching aid materials. The best models prepared are on following topics: Means of Transport, Diwali, Light travels in Straight Line and Igloo etc. Group No. 9 of B.Ed students namely Preeti, Ritu & Sonia who made “Igloo” stood first and Group No. 5 namely Sonika, Suman & Kiran who made “Means of Transport” stood second. Mrs. Poonam Chib, Principal of the College presented the vote of thanks.
