| Sangram Sena, DLF extend support to BAJ agitation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 16:Sangram Sena J&K and Dogra Liberation Front (DLF) have extended their
full support to the ongoing strike of Bar Association, Jammu (BAJ).
The decision was taken in a meeting held here today under the
chairmanship of Ram Rattan Raina, President Sangram Sena and Ram Pal
Sharma.
Addressing the meeting, Ram Rattan Raina said the agitation launched
by BAJ against the state Government’s move to take away powers of
registration from judicial officers to Revenue Executive officers is a
step in the right direction.
Raina said the present irrelevant decision taken by the Government
needs to be revoked with immediate effect, since under the transfer of
registration powers to revenue department will give a boost to the
present nexus of land mafia and land grabbers in which high ups are
also involved.
He further added the BAJ has taken right step of agitation to
pressurize the Government to revoke the present proposal.
He appealed the general public and business community of the state to
extend full support to the BAJ so that the ongoing agitation reached
its logical conclusion.
