| Cabinet nod to administrative reshuffle: transfers, postings effected | | Khanday is Pr Secy Finance, Sudhanshu goes to Power, Basharat gets MD PDC post, Sarita is new VC JDA | | Early Times Report
jammu, Dec 16: In the bureaucratic reshuffle which the Omar Abdullah led cabinet today effected senior most bureaucrat of the state Iqbal Khanday has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary Finance Department.
Sudhanshu Pandey who held this post for over two years has been sent to Power Department replacing one more senior officer Basharat Ahmed Dar whereas Dar has been transferred and posted as Managing Director J&K State Power Development Corporation (PDC). For Khanday, the new posting is being viewed as something due and deserving, he being the second in the line of administrative hierarchy after Chief Secretary in terms of seniority. Khanday remained as Principal Secretary Agriculture Department prior to new posting, which has been given to Navin Choudhary.
In the cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah transfers and postings of few more senior officers at the middle rung bureaucracy were approved . The reshuffle also touched some Deputy Commissioners whose who have been transferred to new districts as DCs or given other postings.
Besides Khandey and Pandey other transfers and posting effected in the today's cabinet meet included Shaleen Kabra, Managing Director, J&K State Power Development Corporation has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary to Government, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department vice B.D. Sharma. Naveen Chowdhary, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department has been posted as Commissioner Secretary to Government Agriculture Production Department vice M. Iqbal Khandey. B. D. Sharma, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department holding the additional charge of Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control Department has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary to Government, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control Department on full time basis. Syed Fazalullah, Transport Commissioner, J&K has been transferred and posted as Registrar, J&K Cooperative Societies vice M. Abbas Dar.
Pradeep Gupta, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department holding the additional charge of Transport Department has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary to Government, Transport Department on full time basis. Sarita Chauhan, Special Secretary to Government, Power Development Department has been transferred and posted as Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority vice Vinod Sharma.
M. Abbas Dar, Registrar, J&K Cooperative Societies has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Government, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department vice Pradeep Gupta. Saurabh Bhagat, Director Technical Education has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) relieving B.B. Vyas, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister of the additional Charge of the said post. J.P. Singh, Director, Youth Services and Sports shall hold the additional charge of the post of Director, Technical Education till further orders. Pandurang Pole, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur vice Baseer Ahmad Khan. Sheetal Nanda, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, vice Pandurang Pole.
Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Transport Commissioner, J&K, vice Syed Fazalullah.
Baseer Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar vice Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo. Vinod Sharma, Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority has been transferred and posted as Director, Safeguards, Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) against an available vacancy. The Cabinet also approved the promotion of P.K. Tripathi and Sudhanshu Pandey to higher administrative grade (67000-79000) of IAS with effect from 24.11.2011.
The Cabinet also approved the promotion of Dilshada Khan to the super time scale of KAS. Meanwhile the Cabinet also approved the promotion of Mohammad Rajab Sholla as Chief Engineer on substantive basis. |
