JSM extends support to BAJ’s Dec 20 bandh
12/17/2011 10:06:06 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu 17 Dec: Jammu State Morcha in its meeting chaired by its president Virender Gupta unanimously resolved to support the Jammu Bandh call given by Jammu Bar Association along with other social and political organizations on Dec 20.
JSM appealed to all the people of Jammu province to completely observe the Bandh to show their solidarity with the genuine cause that concerns all the people and for which Jammu Bar Association is on agitation for the last about three weeks.
Jammu State Morcha criticized the state government for its decision to transfer land registration from Judiciary to the Executive Authorities.
This step of the government is against the policy of good governance and against the interests of the common masses. Land Registration through judiciary is a time tested mechanism which has been in operation for more than seventy years and the people in general are satisfied with it. People had bad experience about the functioning of Tehsil and District offices where the matters are not only delayed but they are forced to indulge in corrupt practices.
JSM asks the government to withdraw its anti-people order that invites mal practices. Instead, it should strengthen the present system and try to remove the deficiencies up to its satisfaction.
Other who participated in the meeting include Choudhary Abdul Gani Aftab, Nathu Ram Gupta, Surjeet Singh Jamwal, Chandra Uday Sharma, Divinder Sharma, Virander Gupta,. Om Parkash, Vishav Bandhu Gupta, V.D.Dogra, Parveen Sharma, Mangat Ram Attri, Subash Sharma, Rajinder Gupta and Darshan Kumar.
