J&K Forest enters semis of football | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department today qualified for the semi-finals of football in the ongoing 19th All India Forest Sports Meet at Dehradun in Uttarakhand.
According to the reports reaching here, J&K Forest defeated Meghalaya by a solitary goal. Shahnawaz Bashir scored the winning goal.
Meanwhile, in cricket, J&K Forest also qualified for the quarterfinals stages after outplaying Gujarat by nine wickets. Earlier, batting first, Gujarat Forest made 92 runs losing their nine wickets, which, in reply J&K Forest chased the target losing just one wicket.
Basharat made 48 runs while Aslam contributed 23. Shafqat Malik took four wickets for J&K.
