| JPPF condemns Govt’s dictatorial attitude towards striking lawyers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 17: JPPF strongly condemned the Govt’s dictatorial attitude towards the demand of striking lawyers to withdraw these draconian orders to shift the registration work from Judiciary to executive Tehsildar.
The president of forum Paviter Singh Bhardwaj while extending their full support and solidarity with the lawyers warned the Govt. of dire consequences in case the order are not withdrawn immediately JPPF fully support the Band Call of the laywers on 20th December 2011.
He further asserted that there was no cause of issuing orders as there was no complaint in smooth functioning of judiciary in the said registration work.
The said orders shall cause great inconvenience to masses who shall have to run from pillar to post in Revenue deptt right from patwari & upwards to get their work of registration accomplished. It will rather give impetus to the corruption which is already rampant in the administration.
He warned that in case of delay in withdrawal of orders the public shall take to streets and intensify their agitation which can take an ugly shape causing law and order problem for which Govt. shall be responsible.
The conglomerates of JPPF comprising Social, Traders, Transporters, Industrial organizations have fully supported the bandh call given by the BAJ for 20th December.
President Bar Association BS Salathia who was present in the meeting appreciated the support given by the JPPF along with all its constituents and appealed one and all to make the band call a success.
