Cong may replace non - performing ministers' in JK | | | JAMMU: Non-performing Congress ministers beware need to pull up their socks as the party high command is contemplating replacing poor performers with fresh faces in the team of council of ministers of Omar Abdullah led coalition government . And a direct indication in this regard was given by none other than PCC Chief Prof Saif ud Din Soz during his brief interaction with the media persons here at the party headquarters. Responding to one of the questions on the possibility of much awaited cabinet expansion Prof Soz set the ball rolling by claiming that "It is overdue. There would be a reshuffle. Expansion may not apply because there is hardly any scope for that, he added. On January 5, the NC-Congress coalition government would be completing its three years in office. PCC(I) Chief Prof Soz at the same time set to rest all the speculations going on in the circles of power corrdirs about the next round of expansion. Prof Soz hinting the reshuffle said, "There is very limited scope for expansion however, reshuffle is overdue." PCC (I) chief however has ruled out any expansion in the Omar led cabinet but hinted of a reshuffle in the cabinet in the days to come. Soz said, "Reshuffle in the portfolios is on the cards as it is over due." Pertinent to mention here that Congress already has lost R&B portfolio due controversial ouster of former R&B Minister GM Saroori who got his name in news during an impersonation case of his daughter for her easy entrance to MBBS/BDS. Prof Soz however evaded issue of rotational chief minister in Jammu and Kashmir saying, "I cannot say anything on this. It is for the high command to decide on this issue." |
