BJP Crisis: BJP dissident sent final warning to party high command | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 18: As the state unit of the BJP is sailing through troubled waters crisis since April last when cash for vote plagued the party, the loyalists have been urging people not to get scared about the drama being played by engineering defection of party workers on the other hand the BJP dissidents have sent their final warning to party high command, party sources said. Sources said that dissidents communicated to party high command if justice is not meted out to them they may not be able to prevent a large number of party workers and leaders to resign from the organization. A senior BJP leader belonging to the camp of loyalists said that those expelled from the party on charge of having defied the party whip during the council election are mounting pressure on the party high command so that the suspensions and expulsion notices are revoked. Referring to the latest report on the resignation of party workers and leaders in Bani he said if 10 to 15 people join hands with the expelled MLA it does not mean that the BJP has shut its shop in the area. He however explained that the Bani seat had been won by the BJP in 2008 election which meant that the seat was won on the basis of the voters support. And the 10-15 people who resigned from the party alone did not constitute the vote bank. During the wordy war recently reemerged after a lull, a BJP leader said the party leadership felt hurt over the way the dissidents had started dubbing a senior party leader, Arun Jatley, as a "virus" in the organization. He alleged that the senior most party leader, who is now expelled, too had friendly relations with top National Conference leaders, including Dr Farooq Abdullah. Meanwhile dissidents camp claimed if justice was not meted out to them they may not be able to prevent a large number of party workers and leaders to resign from the organization leaving a handful of their supporters to rest four MLAs. Cautioning the party high command, the said if the BJP won 11 seats in 2008 election it may draw a blank in the next Assembly poll if they were denied justice They also demanded review of the entire exercise which culminated in the suspension of seven MLAs from the party.
