Youth have realized significance of Cong in restoration of peace and dignity: Soz

Jammu, Dec 18: Prof Saifuddin Soz MP (Former Union Minister) & President J&K Pradesh Congress while addressing a series of public meeting at various places in Kashmir said response from youth towards congress indicates that they have also realized the significance of Congress in strengthening process of peace with dignity in the state.
During his visit to the Handwara PCC(I) chief was accompanied by Mohd Muzaffar Parray Senior Vice President, Gulam Nabi Monga, Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Abdul Majid Padder Vice Presidents and Mohd Amin Khan District President Kupwara and other leaders of the District.
Speaking on the occasion at Shogpora Magam (Handwara) Kashmir, Prof Soz shared his sense of satisfaction with the gathering that a sizeable number of youth of Kashmir have expressed their desire to join Congress Party and associate themselves with the progressive programmes of the Congress Party. Prof Soz emphasized upon it is of a great importance that the youth in Kashmir have realized that the Congress Party is a thoroughly secular and democratic in its character and wants to reach people of J&K for service to them. “They have also realized the significance of Congress Party in strengthening the process of peace with dignity in the state, he said further adding, “it is also heartening that the Youth feel charged to fight out menace of corruption from the state under the leadership of Congress.
Prof Soz also reminded the gathering about the recent visit of Rahul Gandhi to Kashmir and described the visit as a whiff of fresh wind that has galvanized the youth in J&K as a strong force full of hope for the future.
On these occasions, he urged the state administration to ensure supply of electricity, drinking water irrigation facilities in Shogpora and the adjoin area. He lamented the fact that the people of Shogpora and adjoining areas are suffering from acute shortage of power supply and drinking water. He further assured the people of Shogpora that a sports field will be provided to this are and the first aid medical centre will be upgraded into Primary Health Centre. He welcomed 10 Panchs and Sarpanchs who joined Congress party on this occasion. He also announced that he would highlight the demand for Nayabat at Magam(Handwara) with the State’s Revenue & Rehabilitation Minister Raman Bhalla
On this return from Shogpora he was welcomed by the people of Puhroo Peth (Sagipora Langate Constituency) and he sanctioned Rs 13 Lakhs out of MPLAD funds for the building of the proposed Higher Secondary School as per the estimate prepared by the District Authorities.
