| Mufti attracts Rahul’s attention towards mis-utilisation of central funds | | Target Omar | |

Jammu, Dec 18: To hit at poor governance of Omar Abdullah led coalition government PDP Patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed, today asked Rahul Gandhi to pay attention to "large scale mis-utilization" of central allocations in Jammu and Kashmir where the Congress is an ally to the NC led coalition.
Aiming his guns towards Omar, Mufti Sayeed while addressing a public meeting here toady targeted the chief minister for his poor handling of various centrally sponsored schemes. At the same time Mufti Sayeed attracted attention of the Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi to look in to the issue of mis utilisation of funds here in Jammu and Kashmir besides focusing his attention on BSP ruled Uttar Pradesh.
Noting that the Congress general secretary has been pinpointing such misappropriations in UP under Mayawati rule, the Mufti said, "In Jammu and Kashmir where such bunglings have been taking place on a large scale, Congress is very much a partner in power."
"Due to lack of transparency and accountability in governance, funds sanctioned by centre are being siphoned from developmental schemes," he said, adding that all the major Centre sponsored schemes, are defunct due to lack of direction, monitoring and accountability.
