| Kashmir lawyers should also join Jammu lawyer’s agitation: Darakhshan | | |

Jammu, Dec 18: “The agitation of Jammu lawyers is justified. The lawyers from Kashmir valley should also join the ongoing agitation,” said Socialistic Democratic Party president Darakhshan Andrabi today while supporting the protesting lawyers.
Extending her party’s support to Jammu Bar association Darakhshan Andrabi said that the party will be supporting BAJ’s December 20 agitation and their workers will come out in support of the justified agitation of the lawyers.
“The government decision of shifting the registration powers from Judicial Officers to Executive Officers is establishment of yet more mechanism for legalizing illegal grabbing of encroached land,” said SDP president.
Andrabi said that when the whole of the country is busy in its fight against corruption, the state government is hell bent upon creating an official support system for promotion of corruption in the state.
Andrabi said that the state government should withdraw its decision of transferring the registration powers to Executive Officers immediately as the people are suffering a lot because of the agitation of lawyers in Jammu.
Darakhshan Andrabi said that the people of the state are also very upset with the government decision as they fear more irregularities in land registration now and foresee a more corruption supported system replacing the present one.
Darakhshan asked the Kashmir Bar Association to take up the issue unitedly with the lawyers of Jammu considering the aspirations of the people and the negative impact of the government decision on the public.
She demanded the revocation of the controversial order and promised her full support to the agitating lawyers.
