| Income Tax Bar Association to participate in ‘BAJ Jammu Bandh | | |

Jammu, Dec 18: Income-tax Bar Association held a meeting chaired by its president advocate Sat Mehta in which the members discussed the issue of transfer of Registration Powers from Judicial Officers to Executive Officers.
They opined that once materialized this process shall lead to manifold increase in corruption which has already engulfed the entire state administration and has brought disrepute to the state.
The members also expressed apprehension of conferment of legal title and right to the immovable properties illegally encroached by some of the higher ups in bureaucracy and politicians.
The members resolved to strengthen the hands of Bar Association Jammu by giving full support in their fight against transfer of powers from judiciary to executive and have decided to participate in Jammu Bandh, Call for which has been given for 20th December 2011 and not to appear before any authority on that day.
