| Awami Tehreek to seek autonomous regional zones | | | Jammu | Jan12 A new political party ”Jammu and Kashmir Awami Tehreek”, has been set in the state with Altaf Ahmed Dar as it first president, S.K Ambardar chief spokesman of the newly formed party at a press conference here today announced. Announcing the agenda of the party, Ambardar said that the party would seek to restore pre 1953 status to J&K along with the merger of “Azad Kashmir”, with the parent state, to create three autonomous required zones of Jammu, Kashmir and Laohak Governed by one state assembly to initiate and immediate dialogue with all militant organisations and undervalues apart from leader of various National and regional Political Parties in order to restore people’s faith, especially youth in the democratic institution. Newly elected Gen. Secretary of the Awami Tehreek, Ali Mohd Shah claimed that the party would help to mitigate the problems of Kashmiri migrants and help in their return to their native places with constitutional safe guards. He said, with a view to convey a positive message to re-start a new historical era in the entire state, the party leaders would all the regions of the state, including Azad Kashmir.
