LP University organised Annual Conference- ‘Share the Vision-2011’

JALANDHAR , December 19 : All the senior functionaries and more than 3500 staff members of Lovely Professional University gathered, on consecutive two days, to share how to take the University to the glorious and global heights.

The event was the University’s Annual Conference- ‘Share the Vision-2011’, that concluded today with colourful cultural evening ‘Sanidhya’.

The senior functionaries shared their vision on what should be the next course of the university, through massive presentations, addresses, lectures and a series of other illustrative initiatives and activities.

The conference also marked the Award ceremony wherein the staff members, having last ten and five years standing association with the University, were honoured.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Lovely Group, Ramesh Mittal, Vice-Chairman Naresh Mittal, Chancellor of LPU Ashok Mittal, Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal, Vice Chancellor Dr Rameshwar Kanwar, Director General Er HR Singla, and other dignitaries were prominently present.

‘Sharing’ with the mammoth multitude of ‘Lovely University Family’, the Chancellor of LPU, Ashok Mittal illustrated all the meaning of success as struggle. Awakening all he said: “Let’s take tomorrow; Set the pace. Our annual conference ‘Share the Vision’ is the best podium to share and exhibit - What made the University grow to the present status? What is missing? How shortcomings can be addressed? Or, is anything still needed to be reformed in the Systems, Policies or Culture of the university?”

He demanded of all a fiery spirit of working together culture, under full commitment towards and expectations of all stake-holders.

Vice-Chancellor of LPU, Dr Rameshwar Kanwar emphasized on application oriented research and for preparing the global citizens. He mentioned that in the year 2050 there would be scarcity of lot of resources like water, clean air, food etc and the University should engage in the research to solve these future problems.

On asking why did he join LPU and where does he see LPU in 2020; Deputy Director, Jason Price, an Australian (working with LPU) admitted that LPU can make difference to Education scenario in India by reaching the glorious global heights within a couple of years only.

The concluding evening of the conference‘Sanidhya-2011’ was specially held for all the Staff-members and their families. Attractive honours were also bestowed upon the winner-participants of different programmes organized; whereas, all other were well applauded for their participation-spirit.
