| Stern action should be taken against corrupts : Kapoor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , December 19 : The State Chairman J&K Human Rights Watch B L Kapoor in a statement has said that Omar Abdullah the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir is committed to eradicate corruption from the state which is appreciable but it is unfortunate for the people of state that the corrupt elements make hurdles in his way by one pretext or the other resulting the corrupt crocodiles getting opportunity for more and more corrupt practice and the innocent people have been badly victimized in the hands of corrupt authorities.
Referring Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Gulam Ahmed Khwaja who has been found guilty of fraudulent action as he had tampered his date of birth for over stay in service which is a matter of great concern.
Kapoor further added that JKHRW had lodged a written complaint with the J&K Government against DC Rajouri Khwaja in the year 2010 for rampant corruption being done by him with associates of head of department and senior officers and crossed all the limits of corruption and JKHRW urged upon for immediate actions but nothing had been done in this regard.
It is pertinent to mention that there is misappropriation of crores of rupees in supply of BPL ration and other developmental process with the joining hands by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri. Being Dy. Commissioner District Magistrate and District Development Commissioner all the officers / departments are working under his control and he has been shielding all those corrupt elements for vested interest.
There are several cases which need to be probed and the misappropriation to the tune of crores of rupees should be recovered and the culprits should be apprehended some police officers who have been doing wrong and earning money are still working there in district Rajouri inspite of informed severely though the SSP and DIG Rajouri are honest but these practices are being done by the desire and upperhand of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri ( Khwaja ).
Kapoor appealed J&K Govt. to take stern action against the culprits and corrupt elements working in district Rajouri so that the innocent people may have a sigh of relief.
