EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 19: Twenty persons, including Vaishnodevi pilgrims, were wounded in separate road accidents here today. In a bus-truck collision, that took place at about 6.15 am on the national highway near Nandini, about 23 km from here, at least 16 persons sustained injuries, police sources said. The bus (NL02B/1844) was on its way to Katra when it was hit by a truck (JK02G/5522) that came from the opposite side. The injured were admitted to the GMCH where the condition of all of them was stated to be out of danger. Fourteen of them were identified as Prabhu Dayal, son of Hem Raj of Udhampur, Chanchla Devi, wife of Balram of Katra, their daughter Babli, Jasmeet Kour, Harpreet Kour and Mandeep Kour, daughters of Manmohan Singh, Kanchan and Arti, daughters of Prem Chand, Rajinder, all residents of Katra, and Vaishnodevi pilgrims -- Rajinder, son of Lal Chand, Rajinder Kumar, son of Ajit Kumar, Aman, son of Kewal Krishan, Paramjit Singh, son of Mukhtiyar Singh, and Rakesh Jain, son of Pravesh Jain, all residents of Amritsar. Five persons sustained injured after their Scorpio jeep (DL12C/4327) collided with a roadside electric pole on the national highway near Vijaypur. They were identified as Pooja, daughter of Rajinder Nagpal, her brother Gourav, Kaushik, son of Sachin Chadha, Sheela, wife of G Chadha and Minky, daughter of Balbir Singh, all residents of Gaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. All of them were undergoing treatment at the GMCH here. Police had registered cases in this regard.
