DDC convenes Sainik Welfare Board Meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, DECEMBER 19 - District Development Commissioner, Kathua today convened a meeting of District Sainik Welfare Board at conference hall of DC office complex here at Kathua today. A comprehensive discussion was held on the issues which were, construction of approach road of the district office of the Sainik Welfare Board, nomination for the membership of the board members, delay in collection of Flag Day fund, and other problems faced by the ex servicemen and widows of the soldiers during LPG gas delivery, for acquiring revenue records, pending ROSHNI cases of the ex serviceman, pending compensation of the families who lost their land in Ranjit Sagar Dam. DDC passed instructions to the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Kathua to pursue the project of Approach Road so that it will be taken up and completed in the next year. She also passed instructions to complete the nomination process of the Sainik Welfare Board members with one month. She also directed to pass instructions to all the ETT and BED colleges to deposit the Flag Day collection within week time. She assured that provision will be made for the widows to get the LPG cylinder on priority basis. She further added that Patwari of every halqa will remain present for 2 days a week to interact with the people. Regarding pending Roshni cases DDC informed the meeting that out of total 18000 cases over 11000 cases have been disposed off so far and the remaining cases will be disposed on priority. Zila Saini Welfare Officer, Kathua , Distt President, J&K Ex Services League & Gurj Sena, Dy S.P ( DAR) Kathua, AEE ( R&B), Assistant Director ( Planning), chief education officer, Kathua, Labour Officers, large numbers of Ex Serviceman were also present during the meeting.
