Various Sikh Organizations supports Jammu Bandh Call | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Dec 19: Various Sikhs organization of J&K in a meeting held under the banner Sikh United Front has decided to support the Jammu Bandh Call announced by the Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) against the transfer of powers of registration to Revenue department from judiciary and have appealed the transporters and businessman and shopekeepers to observe total bandh on Dec 20 (Tuesday). The representatives from Bhai Kanaya Nisham Seva Society, Sheromani Youth Akali Dall All India Sikh Student Federation, Nerbhow Nirvar organization, Sikh Welfare Society United Secular Forum and Sikh Naw Jawan Sabha participated in this meeting criticized the govt for this move and criticized the transfer of powers to revenue department. “The move of J&K Govt in taking away the powers of registration of documents from Judicial Officers and vesting them with Executive Officers leaders have appealed the Govt not to issue any such Adm order on it will open more flood gates of corruption and hardships for the peoples which is against the interest of public, they added. Speakers also apprehended that the move will cause serious repercussions Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of coalition led Govt while shaking the faith of people as it would only encourage the land mafia. The leaders who participated in the meeting included S Mahinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kanaya Niskar Seva Society, Harjeet Singh President NNO and others.
