Jammu Dec 19: Prayas a social organization of Bhaddu town of district Kathua is regularly organizing medical camps specially eyes camps .
Prayas had been organizing medical camp at Bhadoo in which all specialists , ENT, physicians and eye specialists were present and where patients from different areas are freely treated and eyes patient of cataract are specially identified and brought to Jammu at SMGS hospital where they are operated under the supervision of Satish Gupta Associate Professor of Ophthalmology .
The Prayas organization pays during their stay in the hospital, journey to and fro , provided free medicines including spectacles.
Prayas a famous social group of Bhadoo people comprised of serving and retired officials social workers and youth headed by Indu Bhushan.
So far more 240 eyes patients have been brought to Jammu and operated by the doctors with latest surgery.
Former minister Thakur Randhir Singh who was chief guest on the occasion while speaking to organizers and the patients said that “History is never out of Fashion”.
Bhadoo town has got very rich history more than eleven hundred years old ruled by Pal dynasty for 24 generations.
Bhaddoo is place of birth of famous General Tehal Singh who fought against Britishers under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and attained martyrdom while fighting.
General Tehal Singh was Thakur’s great grandfather. Bhadoo gave birth to first Dogri poet Kavi Dittu, the place gave first graduate Sant Ram Uppadhaya and followed by many famous educationists, scientists , administrators who excelled not only in the state but outside the country.
