Day 27: BAJ gets supports of various organizations for Jammu Bandh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 19: Bar Association Jammu strikes enters 27th day today against the move of Govt for transferring the Registration Work from Judicial Officers to Executive Officers. The work in the High Court Jammu Wing as well as District Court complex Janipur remained affected due to non-appearance of Advocates. Meanwhile various organizations including transporters have supported the Bandh Call given by Bar Association Jammu which is on December 20, 2011. According to the spokesperson of Bar Association of Jammu (BAJ) various Bar Associations, which are on strike since 26th Nov. 2011 to lodge its protest against the ill-advised and anti-people move of the govt has already supported Bandh call on December 20 from a joint platform with all the trade, transport and social organisations. “Massive support is pouring from all the cross-sections of the society extending their support to the Bandh call with the public at large realising that the issue taken up by the Bar Association is in public interest as with the transfer of powers of registration of documents to revenue officers/executive, it is the common man which shall bear the brunt and be the worst sufferer, he added. (JNF) Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today reviewed situation in the wake of bandh call given by Jammu Bar Association and other sister organizations. Official Spokesperson said that the government appeals the bar association and other organizations to defer the call given for December 20, particularly keeping in mind the interest of general public and large number of tourists visiting the State. The Government has also extended invitation for talks for amicable settlement of the issue keeping in mind the interest of public as supreme.
