| JMC seals showroom, dancing inst for violation of land use | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 19:further continuing and intensifying the drive against the violation of land use, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation led by Chief Enforcement Officer initiated action against the offenders in different areas of the city here today.
The Readymade Garments Showroom namely Today’s Fashion of one Ajay Kumar Chanda was sealed at 711-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu while the team sealed a Dance and Aerobic Institute namely Gurukul Dance and Aerobic Institute of Rakesh Kumar at 41 B/D Gandhi Nagar.
The JMC team demolished the wall which had been raised by Sudershana Sharma by encroaching upon part of lane at Priya Darshani Lane, Patta Paloura while it demolished the Platform raised by Kuldeep Singh by encroaching upon part of road side at Gurudawara Sunder Singh Road.
The sealing of premises had been undertaken under the provisions of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 as the part of said buildings have been converted from residential into commercial one. The said sealing operation has been conducted with the help of Police Force from Gandhi Nagar, Police Station and from District Police Lines, Jammu.
Besides this, while continuing the Anti Encroachment drive to clear the footpaths / pavements, parts of roadsides the team undertook the drive in Gandhi Nagar Area and during the drive five trucks loads of materials / goods / articles like Refrigerators, Eatables, Repairable Scooters, Motor Cycles, Dish Antennas, Counters, Rolls of Roof Sheets, Chairs, Stands, Tools, Utensils, Angle Irons, Benches, Plastic Goods etc. placed by the shopkeepers / vendors by encroaching upon footpaths / pavements & road sides etc which were causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and also creating obstruction in the free movements of vehicular traffic were seized and impounded to the Municipal Yard at Town Hall, Jammu.
The drive was conducted under instructions from Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) SC Sawhney.
