| 22 Bovines recovered from two trucks, four held | | | JAMMU | JAN 12 Police today foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines and recovered 22 bovines from two trucks carrying them. Police for smuggling the bovines also arrested four persons. According to reports, police booked specific information about the smuggling of bovines in trucks through Miran Sahib area. On the receipt of information, a police party led by SHO Miran Sahib, Harjeet Singh laid a Naka in the area and intercepted two trucks bearing registration No. JK01A-4580 and JK05-1037 carrying 22 bovines. The police also arrested driver of the vehicle along with two others. They have been identified as Abdul Rashid son of Mohd. Sahbir, Asif Amin Guru son of Mohd Amin Guru, Mohd Abdullah son of Ali Mohammad all residents of Sopore, Srinagar and Mohd. Hanif son Mussa of Panjgrain, Nagrota. During interrogation, they disclosed that they were carrying bovines to Srinagar. Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and investigating the matter.
