DCC leadership distances itself from Taj's rally | Kishtwar Cong alleges minister violated party norms | | Early Times Report kishtwar, Dec 19: The Minister for PHE & Irrigation Taj Mohi-ud-Din finally has to eat an humble pie for his remarks daring the authority of the chair of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President and it became apparent when the Kishtwar Congress distanced itself from the public rally of the minister alleging he violated the party dictates. According to sources within the congress, alleged that it is a conspiracy to weaken the party in district Kishtwar and added the Kishtwar Congress in protest didn't attend the public rally of the minister scheduled in the Kishtwar. They added that the minister has violated the party high commands directions as he didn't bother to communicate the district leadership before organizing a rally thus the district congress leadership distanced itself away from the said rally. Meanwhile a press statement issued today from District Congress Committee, Kishtwar said that District Congress Committee (DCC) Kishtwar in a protest stayed away from the rally addressed by Taj Mohi-ud-Din Minister for PHE Irrigation in Kishtwar. District President Pardeep Singh Parihar, PCC Vice President Sheikh Ghulam Haider, District President INTUC Raj Kumar Badyal, District President PCC Labour Cell Suresh Sharma, Block President Congress Kishtwar Haji Ghulam Hassan Mir, Block President Padder Nek Ram Manhas and other congress members said that the minister is visiting Kishtwar without any intimation to the District Congress Committee Kishtwar and senior leaders. They said that party high command has made it clear that in any district party activity will not be held without the consent and intimation to concerned District Party Committee and the minister has violated the party high commands directions thus the district congress leadership distanced itself away from the said rally. Further they alleged that the majority of people who attended the rally were employees and daily wagers and maintained no office bearers of the party were in the public gathering. Meanwhile District leaders also said that Congress leaders have brought the matter into the notice of party high command and have appealed party president Sonia Gandhi, AICC Gen secretary Rahul Gandhi and incharge J&K Mohan Parkash to take strong notice of the matter and issue directions upon all ministers to maintain party discipline and intimate Dist committees whenever they visit in their districts. It was also said that few leaders to restore their lost reputation are doing such activities and are encouraging the factionalism within the party. Pertinently Taj Mohi-ud-Din the Minister for PHE& Irrigation, had been in news limelight when he maintained that he was consulted by the chief minister on the issue of AFSPA. He stated on the other day that the chief minister had taken him into confidence on the issue prior to last cabinet meeting and these remarks were taken as challenge to the authority of the chair of the President Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). The statement of DCC Kishtwar stated that former PYC Gen Sec Piyare Lal Shan, Block President Nagseni Kashmiri Lal, President minority Cell Sheikh Irshad Ahmad, Master Ghulam Mohd Ganaie, Nazir Ahmad, former DYC President Sheikh Nasir Hussain Advocate, YC leader Sandeep Sen Advocate, Block Vice President Parkash Ram Sharma, SC Cell president Parkash Ram Bhagat, and Shafeeq Ahmad Former DYC Gen Secretary also attended the meeting. |
