| SCC Ludhiana wins by 9 wkts in Martyrs’ T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Dec 20: Sandhu Cricket Club (SCC) Ludhiana defeated Trikuta Cricket Club Jammu by nine wickets to move into the next round of 2nd Police Martyr’s Memorial North Zone Inter Club T-20 Cricket Championship underway here today.
Earlier, batting first, Trikuta Club set a target of 120 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Irshad was top scorer with 28 runs while Rakesh Koul contributed 21. From Sandhu Club, Manna demolished the opponent innings taking away five wickets.
Later, Sandhu Club chased the total making 125 runs in 16 overs for the loss of one wicket. Rockey made unbeaten 66 runs off 58 deliveries hitting 13 boundaries while Prince contributed 43-ball 54 studded with two sixes and three fours.
For his five-wicket haul, Manna was declared man of the match. He was presented a cash award of Rs 1000 by Dr Hardev Gupta.
Today’s match was officiated by Mohan Lal and Ram Lubhaya while Kulbushan KV Singh were scorers. OP Sambyal and Rangil Singh were commentators.
