JAMMU , December 20 : All J&K Pensioners association held meeting under the chairmanship of Mukand Lal Sharma the senior members of the association attended the meeting other member who were present in the meeting were Sakina Banu , Madam Lal Abrol, Sardari Lal, Devraj Gupta, Ram Lal , Jagdish Raj, Dr. Varinder Gupta, K.L Gupta, S,Maninder Singh, Balwan Singh, Joginder Ghai, S H Jamwal and others.
The association members criticized the Government for apathetic attitude of the state govt. on non implementation of 6th pay commission to the state pensioners with effect from 1-1-2006.
Madan Lal Abrol General Secretary announced that their will be more participation of the pensioner in the coming election in local bodies and Municipal corporation against the government. He reiterated redressal of long pending demands of the state pensioner and employees .
He said that the govt. is provoking to the senior citizen to come on the roads for further agitation.
Abrol stressed on the government particular to the state chief Minister Omar Abdullah to pay the special attention for pending arrears with effect from 2006 to the pensioner and employees in one installment. Medical allowance be raised from Rs 300-1000 per month as the cost of medicine are very high D.A to be released @7% with effect from July 2011.
