| 5,000 casual workers cleared for regularization in PHE: Taj | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 20 :The Jammu and Kashmir government has regularised 5,000 casual workers in Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department in the state. The Government has cleared some 5,000 casual workers of Jammu province in the PHE department, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohiud Din said during his visit to Kishtwar district. On the needs of workers of the PHE Department, he further said he would try that these workers are paid round the year regularly. He said this regularisation has put a further burden of Rs 60 crore on the state exchequer. Taj said the Government is keen to bring the far-flung areas at par with the rest of the state in terms of poverty alleviation and other developmental initiatives.
