HC directs ‘trial court’ to record statement of TP Singh

Jammu, Dec 20: J&K High Court Jammu Wing today directed trial court to ensure that statement of eye-witness Tej Pal Singh is recorded on next date of hearing fixed in the matter.
Justice Hasnain Massodi of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv AK Sawheny appearing for the petitioner directing the trial court said that Trial Court shall do well to take all steps and exercise all powers available under CrPC well in advance to ensure that the witness turns-up on the date fixed in the matter and disposed of petition.
It is to mention that in a petition filed by Rakesh Singh facing Trial in much publicized Amandeep Singh Murder case having committed offence u/s 409/120-B RPC and 3/25 Arms Act, has sought direction to Trial Court for recording statement of eye-witness namely Tej Pal Singh.
