| DIG Railway (Security) reviews railway security arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Dec 20: A K Atri DIG Railway (Security) J&K accompanied with SP GRP Katra, A K Mahajan and SDPO GRP Udhampu, R K Kichloo today paid a visit to Udhampur and reviewed the railway security and other arrangements.
Official spokesperson said that on reaching Railway Station Udhampur, DIG held a meeting which was attended by SP GRP Katra, SDPO GRP Udhampur, SHO Railway Police Station Manwal , I/C Railway PPs Sanger / Ramnagar and Company Commander of RPF. “In the meeting, manpower deficiency, accommodation and security related issues were discussed. DIG also inspected the Railway Police Station Udhampur, residential accommodation of Jawans and Railway Station Udhampur to see the deployment on Plat form and issued directions for further augmentation of security at the Platform, spokesperson said.
During the meeting, it was reported that one DFMD at Ramnagar is out of order from the last two months. SP GRP Katra was directed to take up the matter with SSP Security for immediate repairs of DFMD.
On way back to Jammu by train, DIG also visited Railway Stations to have first hand information about platform/track security.
