| MLA Jan holds ‘public darbar’ in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Dec 20: MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan today held a public durbar in which he cautioned them against vested element and asked them to refrain from spreading rumours about the powers of such institutions and assured people that their representatives in panchayats are bridges between the govt and the people.
During the Public Durbar MLA Poonch said that the policies of coalition govt are crystal clear in regard to strengthen the basic roots democracy in state and the recently announced elections to the block development councils have proved the sincere approach of Omar Abdullah chief minister J&K and Ali Mohd Sagar Minister for Rural Dev and Panchayats.
During his tour the demand for availability of drinking water was effectively raised to which the legislator immediately responded by sanctioning water storage tanks out of his CDF at the cost of Rs 5.00 lakhs.
Meanwhile locals raised demand of construction of School building at Bhainch top and MLA issued directions to XEN to start the work under SSA in this month only.
Jan lauded the role of panchayat representatives in plan formation and BDO Poonch was directed to ensure people participation in plan formation and its implementation in later stages.
The MLA also held a public darbar in Banch & Kuniya area involving two most neglected panchayats and listened to the grievances of public and immediately reacted to their needs.
Aijaz Qaiser, BDO Poonch, Inspector Billawria SHO Poonch, XEN PHE Mohd Taj Choudary, AEE PDD, AEE PWD, and officers of Horticulteure agriculture and sheep husbandry accompanied the MLA Poonch.
Others who spoke on the speaks are Ch Ab Gani Sarpanch, Bag Hussain Rathore Sarpanch, Sartaj Din Sarpanch, Ab Rasheed, Khurshid Ahmed,Milvi Baki,Retd ZEO Ab Gani,Sheer Khan,Bashir Sheikh, Akhter, qazi Kalla,Soofi queem,all the prominints of the Area.
