JAMMU , December 21 : Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rajouri under the aegis of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu and under the auspices of Directorate of Extension Education, SKUAST-J organized one day farmers training programme on “Handling and Maintenance of Diesel Engine and Centrifugal Pump” at Dangri .
A total of twenty Nine farmers participated in the above said training programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Abhay Kumar Sinha Subject Matter Specialist Agril. Engineering of KVK, Rajouri briefed the farmers about the different parts s of centrifugal pump and its advantages . Er. Sinha also stress about installation , foundation, grouting , alignment, piping and trouble shooting in centrifugal pump.
They also explain about engine system run by Diesel and K-Oil and cost of different capacity of engine and centrifugal pump for irrigation purpose. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Subject Matter Specialist horticulture explain benefits about off season vegetable cultivation and advantages of low cost Poly house . They also stress about nursery management of vegetable crops and storage of water for irrigation purpose Dr. Kumar also stress these areas are very suitable for planting of fruits. Such as plum peach Guava etc. The programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Amit Mahajan (Programme Assistant Trainings) of KVK Rajouri.
