| PDD daily wagers held protest demonstration | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA , December 21 : The PDD daily-wagers staged a protest demonstration at the office of XEN of Power Grid Station Hatli Mohr Kathua in connection of their long pending demand for the regularization of daily-wagers and casual workers who have been doing their regular job for lat more than 5- 12 years in the state’s PDD department.
The protest was strengthened by joining hundreds of daily-wagers and casual workers to register their suffering before the state Government in order to get relief with justice. The daily-wagers are the main workers of the PDD department, they do their duty with positive and productive honest approach at just meager monthly payment which is not justice with them if we call it as salary then it would be the mockery of this biggest chunk of young dedicated semi employees of the state Govt. who are delivering their services effectively rather than permanent officer line employees.
The most of these daily-wagers have been doing their duties in PDD for the last more than sixteen years at risky spot of the department through which more than a hundred of daily wagers have been died till date and on several occasions they are being brutally beaten up by the state police as per the direction of state government whenever they tried to raise their voice for regularization of their jobs.
They said that all this shows the negligence and ill functioning with immature bent of intention of the state Govt. Today’s protest dharna at the office of XEN of Power Grid Station Hatli Mohr Kathua was the beginning of continues agitation of the these victimized daily-daily wagers to mount the pressure for justice as per the statement of district president of daily-wagers S Susheel Kumar, Lucky, Ram Krishna, Ranveer Singh, Nirmal Singh and others while they were addressing the gathering during the protest dharna.
On the occasion the president of Youth Movement Sanjeev Verma also came forward in the support of these suffering daily wagers who are running the PDD department on their own shoulders with risk.
On the occasion the chief engineer PDD Shehnaz Gony replied to media person that the regularization of PDD daily wagers is the concern of the state Government and at political level so their proposal file has already been submitted to the state Government.
