Omar regime encouraging corruption in administration: PDP
PDP holds demonstrations against corruption

Jammu, Dec 21: To highlight rampant corruption and mis-goverance in the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today organized massive protest demonstrations at all tehsil headquarters of Jammu province.
Hundreds of PDP activists under the leadership of senior leaders organized these demonstrations in which corruption issue was effectively highlighted by the workers.
At Jammu, the protest demonstration was held in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner in which hundreds of party workers from different parts of Jammu district participated in the demonstration and shouted slogans against State Government for legalizing corruption in the State.
Addressing the party activists protesting against corruption, PDP leaders attacked coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah for its failure to keep a check on corruption in the State. “Since Omar led regime took the reins of power the corruption has been legalized because government has been encouraging its leaders and workers to indulge into corrupt practices, PDP leaders said.
Coming down heavily on State Government not adopting casual approach towards strengthening the institutions to curb corruption, they said that during the last two three no step has been taken to bring transparency and accountability in the administration.
“Promises of the State Government to setup State Vigilance Commission also remained only on papers”, they said and regretted that instead of setting up a mechanism to curb corruption this regime has been legitimizing corruption practices through its action.
Prominent who spoke during the protest included Rangil Singh, Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Ch Hussain Ali Wafa, Falail Singh, R K Bali, Suram Singh, Ashok Jogi, Rashpal Singh Bittu, Rajinder Manhas, Shohiab Malik, Deepu Chib,
Sukhvinder Singh, Sushila Jamwal, Vikram Singh Langeh, Anju Bhan and others.
Meanwhile party sources added the protest demonstrations were held at all the tehsil headquarters of Kishtwar district. MLC Sayed Asgar Ali led the protest demonstration at Kishtwar, Azhar Malik led the demonstration at Chattroo. Protest demonstrations were held at Paddar and Marwah also. At R S Pura, vice president of PDP Trilok Singh Bajwa led the protest demonstration in which hundreds of party workers participated. At Bishnah Zone Chatter Singh Saini, Vice President Jammu Rural led the protest demonstration.
A R Wani, Vice President Reasi, led the demonstration at Mahore while, Pawan Dev Singh, District President led the same at Samba. At Akhnoor, Davinder Sharma, Zone President led the protest while district president Udhampur, Sukhdev Sharma led party protesting activists at Ramnagar.
Hamid Manhas, District President Poonch, Abdul Ahad Wani PDP leader Banihal, Sheikh Mujib Ali, District President Doda, Talib Hussain PDP leader Inderwal, Shahzad Khan party leader Rajouri and Bharat Bhushan of Nowshera led protestes in their respective areas respectively.
