Martyrs’ T20: Amritsar Club, JCC win ties

KATHUA, Dec 21: Amritsar Cricket Club (ACC) and JCC won their respective matches to enter into the next round of ongoing 2nd Police Martyr’s Memorial North Zone Inter Club T-20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today.

In the first match, Amritsar Cricket Club registered a six wickets win over Chandigarh Cricket Club. Batting first, Chandigarh Club set a target of 75 runs, which in reply, Amritsar Club chased making 78 runs in 10.2 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Pankaj, who claimed four wickets for winning Amritsar team, was declared man of the match. He was presented the trophy and Rs 1000 cash prize by Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban, Anil Mangotra.

Meanwhile, in another match of the day, JCC Jammu defeated Reasi Cricket Club by four wickets. Reasi, batting first, set a target of 126 runs. In reply, JCC Jammu attained the goal losing six wickets.

Vishabjeet of winners, JCC, who contributed 37 runs and took three wickets was given away man of the match award worth Rs 1000 by president Beopar Mandal, Kirpal Singh.
