| Man, 2 sons among four held for gang rape | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 22: Four persons, including a man and his two sons, were today
apprehended by police from the upper reaches of Sadota in Pancheri area of
Udhampur for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of a minor girl.
The accused were identified as Mirwaz, son of Rashid, his sons -- Biniya and Bashir, and Mansha, son of Mohammad Shafi, all residents of Sadota.
They were alleged to have abducted a minor girl from Sadota on December 7 and taken her to the higher reaches. Chasing them, police were able to recover the girl and arrest Mirwaz and his two sons while six other accused managed to escape.
Mansha was later apprehended by police from Kultyar, Pancheri. A case under sections 363, 376, 343 and 109 of RPC was registered against them at Pancheri police station.
