| BAR association Kathua threatens to go on hunger strike | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , December 22b: BAR Association Kathua has decided to launch chain hunger strike from 23rd of December in the premises of the Kathua court in order to intensify its movement in favour their long pending demand for the revocation of Government order of transferring the land registration work from judiciary to revenue department said by the members of association advocate Arvind Gupta, Rakesh Thakur, and Ajat Shatru.
After thread bear discussion of the BAR Association Kathua, it was unanimously decided to strengthen the ongoing protests and agitations of BAR associations across the Jammu against the state government’s order for transferring of power of land registration work from judiciary to revenue department, so that after the healthy discussion a committee of seven members was framed to carry out the activities of the chain hunger strike.
While speaking on the occasion the advocate Arvind Gupta, Rakesh Thakur, Ajat Shatru Dilawar Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Anvider Slathia, Balbir Singh and others lambasted on the callous attitude of the Omar led coalition Government towards the demand of the advocates for which they have been struggling for the last one month.
They further said that in order to meet with the solution of the demand of revocation of order for transferring the land registration work from judiciary to revenue department , the agitation of the BAR association would continue .
