| Alleging delay in inquiry in JU, NSF burnt the effigy of CS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 22: The activists of NSF led by their State Secretary Sukdev Singh organized a protest rally here today in support of their demands and against the callous and negligent attitude of Chief Secretary Madhav Lal to delay the inquiry pertaining to the irregularities in Jammu University (JU) and burnt the effigy of Chief Secretary to register their resentment.
National Secular Forum (NSF) has asked the Chief Secretary to complete the probe within days and submit the report to the Governor Office, otherwise, series of protests will be held against him.
Addressing a protesters today, NSF State Secretary Sukdev Singh that the Higher Education Department had issued notice to the Vice Chancellor Vide No. HE/Recog/Adm/2009-80 dated 2-June-2011 under sub section (3) of section II of Kashmir and Jammu University Act 1969.
State Secretary Sukdev Singh also expressed apprehension that Chief Secretary Madhav Lal might have conspired with the JU Vice Chancellor owing to which the inquiry has deliberately been postponed.
Protestors said that Chief Secretary must come out with a statement as to why the probe is been delayed. Among those who were present in the protest included Ravi Choudhary ,Balveer Kumar, LAQAT, Amit Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Pardeep Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Arvind Sharma, Jagmohan Singh, Pawan and others.
