| 1 killed, 12 injured in accidents | | | JAMMU JAN-12
One person died and twelve others suffered injuries in separate road accidents while Police initiated inquest proceedings against the three mysterious deaths, including that of a cop of 14th Bn at SKPA Udhampur.
A Police spokesman said that Kastoori Lal son of Dewan Chand of Manu Wali R S Pura who was injured in a road accident at Dassua Punjab and referred from Punjab to GMC Hospital here succumbed to his injuries while on way to Jammu. In other separate road mishaps twelve other persons suffered injuries.
The spokesman further said that a women identified as Sheela Devi son of Darshan Lal of Chhan Arorian Rajbagh Kathua, who was admitted in GMC Hospital as a poison case, expired today while five others, including a girl, made an abortive bid to end their lives while consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences.
In the meantime the Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 Cr PC into the mysterious death of 20 year Rehmat Begum daughter of Mohammed Iqbal of Majoor Rajouri and Ct. Satish Kumar NO 674/ AP 14th Bn son of Sundri Lal resident of Hiranagar Kathua, who died under suspicious circumstances at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Uhdmapur last evening.
An unidentified female body was recovered near LoC Kancha post Thandi Kassi in mysterious circumstances, the spokesman added.
