EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu DEC 22: Exuding faith in ideology of the BJP, dozens of youth from Channi area of Jammu district joined BJP in presence of State President Shamsher Singh Manhas in a function held at party headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, Shamsher Singh Manhas said that there is resentment among the youth of the state against the present NC-Congress coalition government as it has failed to formulate any concrete policy for the absorption of the educated youth.
Manhas said that the recently announced recruitment policy by the Omar Abdullah led government has received wide spread anger and the youth is on roads for the last few weeks demanding withdrawal of this decision, which according to them, is just an insult of the educated youth. He said that it is the BJP only which has been raising the voice of youth, agitating for their rights and seeking employment for them. Manhas said that the private sector in the state has not been allowed to get established in J&K because of the biased and parochial mindset of the successive valley-dominated governments through the use of Article 370, which do not allow any one from outside the state to invest and set industries and manufacturing plants. He declared that the party will continue to extend principled unconditional support to the agitating youth of the state on the issue of new recruitment policy.
The new entrants were also welcomed into the party fold by State Gen. Secretary Sat Sharma (C.A.), Press Secretary Balbir Ram, Distt.President Rajesh Gupta and Training Cell Convenor Rajiv Charak.
Earlier led by Ishant Gupta, a score of the youth joined BJP.
