Rotary Club Rajouri distributes woolens among needy children | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Rajouri Dec 22: Rotary Club Rajouri distributed winter clothing and school stationary among poor children studying in Government schools in Rajouri. During functions held at various schools the members of Rotary Club Rajouri distributed woolens and stationary items among the needy and poor students selected from 05 schools identified by the Rotary Club Rajouri. More than 150 students belonging to deprived section of the society as they had no basic amenities for required education, were covered under this missionary drive. Rtn Ashish Langer, President Rotary Club Rajouri said that material was donated in Govt Primary school Thudi , Govt Primary School, Jawahar Nagar, Govt Primary School Inderkot, Govt Middle School Mubarakpura and Govt Middle School Mankote near Rajouri Town. “School uniform sweaters and school stationary provided to children aged four to 14 will afford children better protection against the biting cold as they continue their lessons in schools lacking facilities against harsh winters,” said Rtn. Lokesh Bakshi, Secretary of the club. “Besides distributing warm clothes and writing material among school children, Rotary Club Rajouri continues to involve in various social activities to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio,” said Rtn. K.K. Langer , Assistant Governor of Rotary district 3070.
