| Samooh theatre’s presents Tagore’s Gitannjali in Dogri | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT

Samooh theatre’s artists enthralled the audience with presentation of Tagore’s Gitannjali in Dogri . The event was held as part of 7 day Mega event going in city of temples in connection with 150th birth anniversary celebration of RabinderNath Tagore.

Written in Bengali by Gurudev Rabinder Nath Tagore and Translation in Dogri done by Prof . Ram Nath Shastri
. on this occasion pt. Sh. Mangat Ram Sharma former Deputy Chief Minister Jammu & Kashmir was the chief guest , while prof . Lalit Magotra President Dogri Sanstha presided over .
Mangat Ram in his address applauded the role of samooh Theatre for promoting the Dogri culture through various literary and art medium.
The music of the Gitanjali was composed by Brij Mohan and Choreographed by Pt. Naryan Parsad while it was conceived by za reen Mahajan .
Sh. Jawala Parsad was the Music Arranger while Smt. Radika Chopra a singer of national repute Smt. Lovely Chandra and Aastha given the melodious voice to the poetry of Gitanjali in Dogri .
The prominent who enchanted the Jam Packed Nonandi Neha , Monisha Hall audience were included , Taniya Ambika Thasu , Vickey, Sukriti

Besides Ravinder Sharma and Vikram Khatri were the overall incharge of the programme .The Programme was prepared and presented in the Supervision of the Dr . Sudhir Mahajan .He informed that this is firstever event where in the Dogri Translation of Gantanjili was presented in Dogri.
