| CHINAR PRIMARY SCHOOL CELEBRATES ANNUAL DAY | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , Dec 22Chinar Primary School, the junior wing of Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its Annual Day function in which a colourful variety entertainment programme and academic prize distribution function was held to mark the occasion. The proceedings began with lighting of the sacred lamp by GA Qureshi, KAS, Director School Education, Jammu.
Sunita Dembi presented welcome address and Sudharshana Katoch presented the School Annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school during the current academic session.
A colourful cultural programme consisting of Welcom Song, Hindi Skit, It happens only in India, Hum Sab Bhartiya Hai, Kashmiri Dance, Bhangra Remix etc were presented by the young children of the school amidst great applause from the audience.
It was followed by Academic Prize Distribution function. The Chief Guest Mr. GA Qureshi, KAS, Director School Education, Jammu gave away the prizes to the toppers for each class for their meritorious performance in academic and other competitions. Nehru House won the Cock House Trophy for the session 2011-2012.
In his address, the Chief Guest complemented the prize winners for their outstanding performance in academics. The participants of the cultural programme and the staff of the school received accolades from the Officiating Chairman on behalf of Gp Capt Ajay Kumar, Chairman of the school. A number of other distinguished guests and parents were
present to witness the Annual Day Function.
