MHAC CELEBRATES ANNUAL DAY

Jammu , Dec 22MHAC Nagbani today celebrated annual day with great pomp and show.
A scintillating show was put up by MHAC Nagbani students in the school premises today. The Chief Guest on the said occasion was Governor of J&K N.N. Vohra accompanied by the first Lady Mrs. Usha Vohra who was the guest of honour.
P.P. Sharma Regional Director DAV Schools presided over the function. A rich floral tribute was paid to the founder of the school His Highness Maharaja Harisingh. A guard of honour was given to the chief guest followed by an impressive march past by the students, NCC and Naval Cadets led by the head boy and head girl of the school.
The other dignitaries on the occasion were Capt. Dewan Singh Manager LMC, the LMC members and other distinguished guests. A warm welcome was accorded to the chief guest by Capt Dewan Singh, P.P. Sharma and Principal of the school Yogesh Khosla.
Addressing the gathering Capt Dewan Singh welcomed the chief guest on the occasion. The Principal Mr. Yogesh Khosla presented Annual Report of the School and apprised the audience about the accomplishments and vision of the school. He highlighted the achievements of the students in the academic, sports and other co-curricular activities. To invoke the blessing of the Almighty, the function commenced with Vedic Mantras which form the basis of Ish Upasana. A variety show commenced with Fans and Frills a dance item put up by the tiny tots of class I and II, followed by Lavni the traditional dance of Maharashtra highlighting the importance of Ganesh Utsav.

The first Lady Mrs. Usha Vohra distributed prizes to the students of classes X, XI and XII who excelled in academics in 2010–2011. In his speech the honourable Governor applauded the immense effort put in by the management, staff and students of MHAC for presenting a mesmerizing show. His Excellency addressing the gathering said that quality education is being imparted in the school and appreciated the school for doing a tremendous job in uplifting the socially & economically weaker sections of the society for the past 45 years.

Saraswati Vandana, Teri Hai Zameen, Flag Drill, Gidda and Bhangra and Vadi Ki Awaz which lifted the mood of one and all.
A vote of thanks was given to all the distinguished guests & parents. The function concluded with Santi Path and National Anthem.
