| Prof Gupta lays stress on moral education to children | | |  EARLY TIMRES REPORT
Jammu Dec 22: MLA Jammu West Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta stressed the need for moral education among children. Prof Gupta inaugurated the newly renovated Bathroom, Varandha and Class room at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary school at Rehari a project at an estimated cost Rs 3.5 lakh donated from constituency Development fund of the MLA.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Gupta laid stress on overall development of children. He said it is our duty to provide good education and a healthy atmosphere for their growth. “The teachers have a great responsibility in building the future of our nation, he added.
Prof Gupta appreciated teaching faculty namely Bishan Singh Jaral, Principal Govt. Boys Hr Sec School and Mrs Rajni Kotwal, Principal Govt Girls Hr Sec School for their dedication and efforts in raising the standards of education in their schools. Prof Gupta also announced Rs 2 Lakh for renovation of music and staff rooms at Govt Girls Hr Sec School.
Prof Chaman Lal Gupta also inaugurated school library, sports room and worship place of Peer Baba inside Govt Girls Higher Secondary School at Rehari. An expense of Rs 4.5 Lakh was incurred from CDF of the MLA.
Among the distinguished present at the function included Arun Khanna, Ex Corporator ward no. 24, Jagmohan Khanna, Parveen Sharma, Balbir and Sanjay Kohli.
Meanwhile a delegation of the people from Jammu city apprised Prof Gupta regarding the difficulties faced by people of Jammu because of acute shortage in supply of rations in the entire city.
Prof Chaman Lal Gupta called the concerned officers and enquired about the matter who reported that the shortage is due to lack of supply vehicles. Prof Gupta also assured the delegation that he will follow the matter with the concerned so that people do not have to face the situation any more.
