| VC Varun Sawhney may continue up to 31 March 2012 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: In the backdrop of the speculations of his replacement soon, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University Varun Sawhney will continue up to 31 March 2012.
According to sources the search committee is going to find new successor on Jan 5 and Jan 6, but that process may get delayed and the present VC Varun Sawhney will continue till 31st March 2012 as the vice chancellor of Jammu university.
Total 67 professors (aspirant) have filed their papers for the post of vice chancellor. The local aspirants are making it hard to fight for getting the prestigious post.
But as per the sources, the new VC will be from outside state and the past practice of appointing VC from outside state will continue. |
