| NSS holds 10 days camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
December 22, 2011A week-long NSS special camp was inaugurated Govt. GL Dogra Memorial Degree College at Hirangar The camps was inaugurated by patron NSS and Principal of the College Dr. Ram Krishan by lighting of the traditional lamp. In his inaugural address he stressed upon the need of organising such camps during vacations especially which do not hamper with the academic curriculum of the student’s besides making volunteers energetic physically and socially. He called upon the students to utilise the opportunity of addressing social cause. Later Programme Officer Dr. Rachna Bhagat briefed about the various activities to be undertaken during 10 days camp with special reference to the visits and interaction with the villagers of adopted village Bajakho Chack.. After her address NSS volunteers removed unwanted grass from the college campus and did lot of physical work for the beautification of college campus.
Vote of thanks was presented by NSS Volunteer Amit Sharma. On the occasion senior Professors were present. At last NSS Volunteer took NSS pledge for Selfless service.
