Early Times Report
jammu, Dec 23: Upholding government order on inter-district recruitment, the High Court today lifted the ban and vacated the stay on such recruitment.
While rejecting the PIL against the Government decision , ther Court vacated the stay paving way for Services selection Board to carry on with the pending selection process.
Confirming the decisioin Chairman Services Selection Board D S Bhagat told a local news agency," Court has vacated the stay, observing that the petitioners had no valid reason to ask for the withdrawal of the order."
He said that court has upheld the government stand on the issue. Bhagat further added that the court is also hearing the writ petition of the applicants from Priest University who had managed to get a stay order on the release of teacher list, on Saturday. He said there were two separate stay orders on the release of the Teacher Selection list, out of which one has been vacated where as the second one pending disposal.
Pertinently a PIL was moved from people of OBC'S in the court challenging the government decision to debar the applicants from applying for various jobs in other districts after which court issued a stay order which was vacated by it on Thursday.
Meanwhile SSB chairman has said that there was still a hitch in releasing the teacher list as the court has not decided on the Priest University dispute as yet. However he said that the case was coming up for hearing on Saturday. State High court has put a stay order on the release of much awaited Teacher selection list for various districts of the state after the SSB began releasing the said list last month without considering the candidates from universities which government of Jammu and Kashmir has not reportedly recognized .However students from these universities and institutes are claiming that these were duly recognized by UGC, which governs the universities and colleges in India.
