| Civil Defence training camp concludes | | |

UDHAMPUR, DEC 25 - Five-day Civil Defence Basic Training camp organized at Kalara College of Education, Battal Ballian by the Civil Defense Organization, Udham-pur concluded, today.
Zonal Physical Education Officer, Udhampur, Mr, Bushan Sethi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Deputy Controller, Civil Defense, Udhampur, Mr. Bodh Raj, Director of the host institution, Mr. Aman Kalra, Principal of the college, Mrs. Ranjna Sharma, Chief Warden, Advocate Surinder Khajuria, Instructors, Wardens, staff and students were present in the valedictory function. Lauding the efforts of Civil Defence Organization, Udhampur, the chief guest said that the activities of the organization have been actively geared up and outreached in different corners of the district.
As a result, common masses including young and old have been involved in the basic training to deal with any untoward incident or natural calamities effectively. Terming the training to B. Ed. Students of the college as a step in right direction, the chief guest said that this efforts would go a long way in the dissemination of civil defence activities in educational institutions by these young student volunteers who would further impart training to their students after they get themselves absorbed in jobs as Teacher in near future.
Dy. Controller, Civil Defense presented vote of thanks and gave detailed resume of the activities of the organization. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Advocate S.D. Kotwal.
