JWAM protests against 'weak' Lokpal bill | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, DEC 25: In protest against the introduction of 'weak' Lokpal Bill in the current session of the parliament, the Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today staged a protest demonstration at New Plot here today. The effigies and the copies of the weak "Lokpal Bill" presented by the UPA Government were burnt in protest and the state wide agitation has also been intensified by the Movement. Traders, prominent citizens, heads of various trade unions of bazaars and Mohalla committees joined the protest on Amphalla-New plot-Janipur road and Sarwal which culminated at Rehari against the rising corruption in the state, country and degrading morality in the political parties. Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple strongly criticized and alleged the Congress party has back stabbed the people of the nation by tabling, the weak Jan Lok Pal bill in the parliament as this will not eradicate corruption from the country. He demanded that the CBI should also be brought under the Lok Pal Bill. He warned the UPA Congress Govt. and said not to play politics with the people of the nation. He extended full support to the team Anna. Dimple said we will start state wide agitation in J&K state from December 27 in support of Anna Hazare and carry forward our struggle and fight against the corruption along with people of the nation.
